Current Classes Moms, Pops & Tots (Walking through 2 yrs. /Co-Ed)
This class is designed to offer the same curriculum as the tumbling tots class except the participation of the parent is required. We offer a wide variety of skill levels in the class depending on the age of the child. This is perfect for a young child's first gymnastics experience.
Tumbling Tots (3 and 4 years/Co-ed) This is a math and reading readiness program. Your child will learn gross and fine motor skills, lateralization, directionality, eye-hand coordination, and basic gymnastics skills by using size-appropriate equipment. Children will find beams, bars, and mats all designed to fit their smaller bodies and hands. White Stars (5 Years +) This is the entry-level gymnastics class at Woodland Gymnastics. It is for the child with little to no gymnastic experience. We will attempt to place your child in a class with children of the same age and ability. Your child will receive a Star Chart to take home which will allow you to track their progress. Red Star~ (6 years +) This is for the child that has had previous gymnastic experience. A child must be evaluated to enter this class if they have not completed the White Star Program. Blue Stars~ (6 year+) This class is for the more advanced gymnast. A child must be evaluated to enter this class if they have not completed the Red Star Program. Children that have a desire to compete will move to pre-team upon completing the Blue Star Program Tumbling~
Beginning to Advance tumbling classes are for girls and boys interested in learning basic tumbling skills. Tumbling skills will include bridges, forward and backward rolls, handstands and cartwheels. Students will work on increasing strength, flexibility and body control. Advanced Tumbling skills will include back walkovers, round offs, handstand forward rolls and back extension rolls. These classes are great for kids who may be interested in cheerleading. |
